I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to mention that I was going to be at Yandles Woodworking Show in September. So I headed down to Martock in Somerset last Friday with a 4.00am start and got set up at Yandles in good time for the Show to open. This was just as well because it seemed to unofficially open well before it was meant to. I met plenty of woodworkers over the two days and chatted and I’m glad to say brought some new readers on board for our magazines. The weather was reasonably kind until a heavy downpour on Saturday but it didn’t keep the crowds away, with visitors from Cornwall and Wales much in evidence. It was also a chance to talk to some of the exhibitors and discuss new products. So it was a productive two days and then Sunday off before getting back into the fray at the office. Fortunately enough, groundwork was laid the week before so it wasn’t too bad a start to the week. Now I need to write and put together a few more articles for the November issue because we work about two months ahead! I’m already thinking about December, it’s scary how the year vanishes, especially now the good weather has given way to the not so nice stuff.
Until next time,
