Workshop daze

Well, I"ve been back to the workshop again this week, finishing off my "mini workshop" space, and preparing stuff for Issue 36. To be fair, yesterday (Wednesday) was a bit of a dud day... though it is hard to put my finger on what the problem was. Our Anthony and me worked hard and did the usual stuff, but at the end of the day we both felt we hadn"t quite had a day we could look back on with any satisfaction.

But, what a difference today... it wasn"t as if we have been any more industrious, I guess it"s just that the whole thing seemed to run a lot more smoothly. And, not only that, a lot of the jobs we started yesterday were finished today. But still, that hasn"t quite nailed the problem we had yesterday.

Then it hit me: leaving the workshop today the sun was shining and it was a gorgeous day - so maybe it"s the sunshine that made today run that little bit more smoothly... yesterday was really dull and overcast and a bit cold. In fact, it was the worst day"s weather for a quite a long time.

So there we have it... not only do trees need sunshine to grow, woodworkers need sunshine to help them make stuff from trees. It"s a funny ol" game!
