Mondays and modelling

Mondays.... who"d have "em. Had a split day today, working both in the office and down in the workshop. Not a shaving or chip was made in anger, however! Today was all about photography. We are looking at the cover shots for the next issue, and taking pictures of some of the kit Tilgear supplied us with for my new Build A Basic Toolkit feature series, starting in issue 33.
Getting the front cover shot can be quite a challenge. I"ve modelled for it again this month, after appearing on the front of 31, but need to have a few options to see which works best.
It can be very satisfying... having an idea, directing the photoshoot, then designing the front and writing the headlines on it... equally it can be quite difficult and frustrating. It"s amazing how hard it can be to get the shot "just right". And when modelling for it, to make it look right on the page, you often have to hold unnatural poses.
All great fun, but surprisingly taxing. I have a lot more respect for the people who do it for a living now. Seemingly doing nothing while looking happy, relaxed, and like you are concentrating is surprisingly difficult.
You will have to wait until Sept 10 to see the fruits of my labour!
Here"s a project from our archives to keep you going in the meantime.
It"s something to sit on.... and I could do with it right now after my taxing day pulling shapes with my face for the camera!
