Well, my first issue of WPP is hitting the shelves, and I""m really quite excited by the idea... and also a little embarrassed as I was roped in to pose for the front cover! You can see my working with a biscuit jointer and jig creating drawer carcasses.
In all fairness, I have to confess to never having used a biscuit jointer before being shown the ropes by our ever capable Anthony Bailey... when I trained as joiner over a decade ago, I don""t once remember being told about it.
The A2 plans for the issue include a fantastic patio trolley from Mike Whitewood and a beautiful chest of drawers in cherry by Jim Robinson... go and buy the magazine and try the projects out. You won""t regret it!
James Hatter has built a very hand mobile unit for a planer/thicknesser, a must for the smaller workshop.
On a personal note, I""ve gotta say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my short time at the helm. It""s a joy to be able to run a magazine, and to get into the workshop, roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty!
