I was at the "Harrogate" woodworking show last week and it was great meeting up with people and finding out what they have been making and buying. The show was busy although, due to the event being held in a temporary building, it was cold, however, the new building will be up and running well before next year"s event. I must admit that the design of the new building looks very stylish. I am intrigued as to how it will look when finished.

Anyway, as with all shows, people go to be entertained, learn and find a bargain. There were many bargains to be had but also the chance to see what was new. I vowed not to spend any money but invariably I did! I was also on the hunt to find a new router - yes, I use one more than people might think - so had the chance to look and compare many that were on display.

Shows are great fun, but one does, more often than not, end up coming away with a lighter bank balance. I had better not even mention that I want to go to a fishing event soon. I am like a kid in a candy store at all woodworking events let along fishing events. Hmmm! I have just thought about what I can add to my Christmas present list …

Anyway, I am off for now, but if you went to the Harrogate show let me know about your experiences there.

Have fun,

Mark
