Hello everyone! Well, once again, Mark is off visiting authors and attending woodworking shows, so that sees me in charge once more!

The biggest news in the woodworking sphere has to be the Yandles Spring show, which starts tomorrow and carries on over the weekend. Mark will be there, so do say hello. You can also expect to see some lathe masterclasses, which take part in the Woodworking Centre.

The range of demonstrators this year is very impressive and includes Frans Brown, Andy Coates, Les Thorne, Mark Sanger and Mark Hancock. In addition to woodturning, there is also a range of other demos for you to enjoy, including Windsor chairmaking, stickmaking, chainsaw carving, guitar making and pyrography. Find out more here.

This week, I’ve also had the pleasure of seeing some of the pieces which have been accepted as part of the AAW’s upcoming ‘Rising’ exhibition, which takes place from 13-15 June this year. Michael Foster and Michael Gibson were both generous enough to share their pieces with me, and I’m pleased to say that both of these pieces will be appearing in the magazine over the next few months. You can find out more about the Symposium here.

In the meantime, for those of you who are attending the show, enjoy, and for those of you who aren’t, happy spring turning all the same!
