New Technology

The weekend is upon us and I have to make two trophies – one is for a golfing tournament and the other is for a fishing tournament . I have a couple of ideas in mind, but that is my Saturday taken up, well in part.

I am trying something new as well on Saturday – I am going fly-fishing. Most people know I fish, but it is usually sea fishing at nights, but having seen salmon and trout look at me – and I am sure they laugh that I don’t have a rod with me at the time – I am going to fly fish for some trout. Whilst I am sure I will be cack-handed in my first attempts to cast a fly, it is no different to when I started to turn. Now where do you stand; what does the right and left hand do; what am I trying to achieve; how to I move my body to maximise any positioning to make the whole process easier, and the list goes on. Does this sound familiar? Well trying anything new involves a learning curve and for us in the office we are getting used to new technology; we now have apps for each of our woodworking magazines.

That means that people can, instead of buying hard copy magazines, now have an electronic version instead. At the moment these apps are only for an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, but soon they will be available for android tablets and phones, too. You can find out more about these apps by following this link/

Have a great weekend,
