It''s me again!
Thursday, April 15, 2010
Hello again! I’m afraid you’re stuck with me again today as Mark is busy at the workshop. It has been a busy week all round, but we have cover options for issue 215 to do and Mark is also helping out with a new book. I’ve been stuck in the office all week, but as I say, there has been plenty to do and the fact that the sun has been (mostly) shining has helped no end.
Well, the weekend is almost here and I am anxiously hoping that the good weather continues. My partner and I are visiting the Brighton Pavilion on Saturday – a local tourist attraction – and it is the Brighton marathon on Sunday. And no, I will not be running it! Needless to say I imagine that the city will go into melt down, so I’ll be taking refuge at home.
As I said before, this issue is coming along nicely and there are some exciting articles and some lovely profiles. I think writing profiles is definitely one of my favourites parts of the job, as I love talking to and meeting new people and learning more about them. Peter Archer, who we met this month, is a very talented gallery turner and also a very nice man. Look out for his profile in issue 215.
There are lots of new press releases on the website and you can also be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to the Weald of Kent Craft Show. We have 10 pairs to give away, and the first 10 people to email me the correct answer win tickets. So good luck!
I hope you all have a great weekend, whatever you get up to, and I hope to hear from you soon.
