Well the office party went very well last Thursday. Everyone was jolly and a good time was had by all. And we all made it back in the office the next day in one piece. Some of us had sore heads and some of us carried on as normal.
I had the pleasure of opening up a reader"s submission for the Reader Gallery in the magazine, and all I could find myself saying was, "Wow!" The images sent from Prof Karola Messner from Sweden are absolutely amazing and I can"t wait to share her work with you. Issue 113 will feature a sample of her stunning work in the Gallery and in a future issue, I hope to bring you more of her work in a Reader Profile. When you see work like this, it really does blow you away and it is a nice surprise to stumble on after a long day at work. It makes you wonder how some carvers actually have the vision to see in such a beautiful and unique way, and you find yourself thankful that there are people out there that can produce such fine work.
Talking of stunning work, I am off to the National Gallery tomorrow to see The Sacred Made Real exhibition. I am told it is a must for carvers, and I can"t wait. I will tell you more about it on Friday.
