Invite me to tea!

I particularly like this time of the year, when nature slowly awakens and the world springs into life. I get excited upon seeing the first blossom of the year on a tree, the emergence of brightly coloured daffodils, the gambolling of lambs across the South Downs, and the longer daylight hours which signal the end of the winter months. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy all four seasons that nature has gifted us, but I just don’t think you can beat that sense of birth and renewal which spring brings to us.
And it’s not just the plants and the animals that come to life, but us carvers as well, as we prepare for shows and exhibitions. I am looking forward to attending as many events as possible. It’s such a joy to meet you all and see first-hand the incredible carvings which you have been working on. So make sure you send in your dates for shows which you are organising, and we’ll get them published in the Diary section of the magazine, and I will try and see as many of you as possible.
Have a great weekend.
