The Spring Open House 2016 is on Saturday and Sunday 11-12 June, 2016 at The Toolpost’s Didcot premises and open from 10am until 16pm daily.
In addition to the primary demonstrators - Tracy Owen, who will be demonstrating deep hollowing techniques on the VB36, and Mick Hanbury - we will also have Simon Clements on carving and Bert Butterfield on pyrography. Andy King will be demonstrating under the auspices of BriMarc, using a Nova Comet 2 lathe. Brimarc will also be demonstrating the newly released Tormek T8 sharpening system as well as the other products in their range such as Proxxon mini power tools and Arbortech carving Products. U'Beaut Polishes will be represented by their European distributor who will demonstrate the Shellawax range of products. The Sorby ProEdge system will be demonstrated by Paul Richmond from Robert Sorby. The open and intimate style of this event will enable visitors to get 'up close and personal' with the demonstrators, get questions answered and take a close-up view of the products offered and the methods of operation.
To celebrate their appointment as UK/Ireland distributors for the Killinger Lathe and Machinery product lines, we will be joined by Michael Mühlhaüser head of the company in Germany. Also present will be Johnson Tools with their wide and varied product ranges for woodworkers and woodturners along with representatives of a number of our other suppliers.
