These open-plan bamboo pavilions popped up in only eight weeks in the scenic landscape of Songyang County, southwest Zhejiang, China. They were designed and built by Design And Architecture - DnA. The pavilions appear to look like a floating village and use locally-sourced bamboo, with pitched roofs, sitting among surrounding tea fields and centuries-old villages. These have always been a draw for visitors.

Design And Architecture wanted to create new spaces which would be respectful of the cultural, historical and ecological context of the area. The buildings are made to be multi-functional spaces and are planned to accommodate a number of different functions.
