It was over 25 years ago that James Doran-Webb first started making his interesting animal sculptures, but at first he was using papier mache.
Five years later, James began collecting pieces of driftwood, which he kept in his studio and this material soon became his primary focus when making his pieces.
Using the flowing shapes of the worn wood, James successfully conveys movement and brings life to his sculptures. For more information visit James' website, which shows in great detail how he created some of his most popular pieces.
