Gabriel Schama is an Oakland-based artist, who works with 3mm cut pieces of mahogany (Khaya ivorensis) plywood.
The wood is laser-cut, creating densely layered wooden sculptures that twist, curves and overlap with each layer.
The pieces are glued and finished by hand after the laser-cutting process.
