Welcome to our new regular feature
In order to add a new area of interest to the forums and to encourage interaction between the different forum sections, the forum members are introducing this 'Members' Choice' thread to act as a showcase for a piece of work chosen by a member each week as their 'piece of the week'.
This week's members' choice is 'English walnut hollow form' by Colinjp, which were chosen by Nick Simpson.
Here's what Nick had to say: "Well, there's a contrast from last week - from the 'cor blimey' to the sublime. I chose this lovely piece by Colin because it does just about everything you could want. This is a beautiful piece of English walnut shown to best advantage as an hollow form rather than a bowl. The turning is very top drawer and with a finish to die for. I have been trying to work out the reflection all week! Although Colin spoilt us with two versions, I prefer the original with its neat piercings and finial. Well done, Colin. This piece would grace any woodturner's calendar and will be on my cork board as pin-up of the month."
Congratulations again to Colin and we will bring you another chosen piece next week. In the meantime, you can find out more about the pieces by clicking here
