'Rolling Through the Bay' is a complex kinetic sculpture, by artist Scott Weaver. The project has taken around 35 years and Weaver estimates to have spent around 3,000 hours working on it.

The sculpture is made up of around 100,000 toothpicks and holds tracks for various 'tours' of San Francisco that Weaver can send ping-pong balls around, throughout his sculpture. The sculpture is so detailed that the 'tours' the balls can take, rolls them through symbolic neighbourhoods, historical locations and past iconic symbols of San Fransisco.
