The Weald of Kent Craft & Design Show is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, taking place from the 3-5 May at the stunning Penshurst Place & Gardens, near Tonbridge. Visitors can join the festivities, shopping from a selection of handmade crafts from leading British artisans while listening to live music and enjoying a delicious array of fine food including strawberries and champagne or an afternoon tea.

Bespoke items

Offering a beautiful range of bespoke items for the house and garden, over 250 craftspeople will offer something to suit all tastes with glassware, jewellery, clothes, paintings and much more.

Craft demonstrations

Those looking for inspiration can interact with experts in the Traditional Craft Demonstrations including wire sculpting, pole lathe turning and hazel hurdle and spar making. The Kids Bee Happy Sand Painting will keep children amused for hours creating colourful pictures from sand, and families can get involved in the Family Craft Workshops offering fun and lively ways to decorate ceramics and make paper, or learn the art of wood turning and pencil making.

Gardening

Gardening enthusiasts will love the stunning show garden from Chilstone of Tunbridge Wells and for those interested in more classical art, Andrew Sinclair from The Sculpture School will return with his Sculpture Demonstrations, demonstrating traditional techniques with modern creativity and humour.

Food & Drink Marquee

Head to the Good Food Live area to find a vast array of tempting treats in the Specialist Food & Drink Marquee, and watch guest chef Paul Da Costa Greaves as he prepares some delicious feasts at the Live Cookery Demonstration Theatre. With a bag full of ingredients and a head full of ideas you'll be able to treat family and friends to a new range of recipes.
