As a part of next year's Utah Woodturning Symposium, 'A Tribute to Dale L Nish', the organisers are asking woodturners all over the world to send a story about your interactions and feelings about Dale.
Many people around the world became turners because of his influence, and the Symposium Board want to know how it happened. Perhaps it was one of his books that got you started? Or was it meeting him in person and enjoying his dry sense of humour? Perhaps it was his 'Ask Dale' answers in Woodturning Design? Whatever Dale did to influence your turning experiences, please write them down and send them in.
The Symposium Board would like to make a book with all the stories in it, to display at the Symposium. They invite you to write up your stories and send them to the following address: email@example.com
Photos of at least 1-3MB will also be accepted along with the stories. Please let others in the turning community know about this idea and pass on the details. If enough stories can be collated, the book may be made available for purchase.
Next year's Symposium takes place from 15-17 May at the Utah Valley University campus - see details below.
