Peter Sefton Open Day

Wednesday 26 June 2013

Taking place on Saturday 13 July, The Peter Sefton Furniture School open day is your chance to meet experts, see professional demonstrations, pick up advice and see a great selection of tools and products.

Experts will be demonstrating the following:

Derek Jones – Editor of Furniture & Cabinetmaking magazine – subscriptions and meeting the public

Anthony Bailey – Editor of Woodworking Plans & Projects magazine – subscriptions and chatting about a recently featured routing project

Bob the French Polisher - demonstrating traditional finishing techniques

AG Woodcare - supplying finishing products

Richard Maguire Benches - demonstrating making a small piece of furniture using only hand tools

Hammer Felder - demonstrating their new silent power spiral cutter block with Peter Sefton demonstrating

Paul Hodgson - chairmaker - demonstrating cleaving and pole lathe turning with green timber

Bob Adsett - from BriMarc, demonstrating all things Lamello

This year the show will be moving away from having set times for demonstrations, and Peter Sefton will be doing some live tutorials on hand skills at set times throughout the day, as well as demonstrating Hammer's new spiral cutterblock.

Once again, there will be a competition to win a week's short course with Peter Sefton - click here to enter. You can also see the student exhibition and Peter will be selling hand tools and products with a 10% show discount, as well as having the popular barbecue to keep everyone topped up.
