The wait is over and the winners are in! After the buzzing private view evening, and a successful inaugural MAKERS exhibition, the winners of the two awards have been announced. This is the fitting finale to this exciting new exhibition, for creative minded Manchester, which was welcomed by interiors professionals and the public alike. The dynamic showcase has attracted some of the UK's strongest makers and has filled the gap in the North for an event dedicated to high end and handmade interior products.
Brett Payne eminent British silversmith is the 1st prize winner of SHAKER MAKER at MAKERS.
Christine Meyer-Eaglestone stunning contemporary marquetry artist is the 1st prize winner of FUNCTIONAL BEAUTY at MAKERS.
The SHAKER MAKER competition was judged by top international interior designer Mark Gillette and Arts Correspondent for Manchester Evening News, Sarah Walters.
The FUNCTIONAL BEAUTY competition was judged by Derek Jones, Editor of Furniture & Cabinetmaking magazine.
As the doors close on this unique showcase, both exhibitors and visitors look forward to the 2014 event.
