If you're a fan of woodturning or woodcarving then be sure to head down to The ToolPost's Spring Open House from 7-8 june to see what these crafts involve, and maybe even try your hand. As the leading supplier of tools and equipment for woodturning and carving, The ToolPost, not only has the kit you might need but also knowledgeable staff who willingly give advice and guidance to your early steps - and future giant leaps too, maybe.
Once the bug has bitten, then consider attending one of the several woodturning clubs meeting regularly in the area, such as The Didcot Woodturning Club which meets on the fourth Wednesday monthly in the Harwell Village Hall at 7:30 pm. New members are always welcome and the cost of membership is very modest indeed. It's a great way to learn.
As always, The ToolPost has worked hard to try to bring you a new and varied 'menu' of demonstrations and opportunities to interact with the key players in the woodturning, woodcarving and fine woodworking fields, and this year is certainly no exception.
As ever there's no charge for entry; no charge for parking; no charge for the demonstrations and no charge for refreshments. Who could reasonably ask for more?
The principal demonstrators you can see this year include Nick Arnull Robert O'Connor and Simon Clements
As well as these demonstrators, the trade stands will also include the following:
Crown Hand Tools
Henry Taylor Tools
WivaMac Lathes & Carving Machines
Plus many more!
