The March issue of Woodturning contains a host of projects for you to enjoy including Bob Chapman's Moonrise sculpture; Richard Kennedy's turned table leg extensions; Mark Sanger's contemporary vase; Paul Hannaby's three candle holder designs and Mark Baker's supported box.
In terms of techniques, we have the first in a new series from Kurt Hertzog on 'Turning Know-how' which looks at woodturning challenges. He kicks off by examining using a router or rotary carving tool on the lathe. John Hodgson also shares his techniques for making a sculpture.
In terms of features Simon Frost tells us more about Uden Woodturning and particularly the work of Barry Uden; we spend 20 minutes with Jim McLain and show his pieces which are influenced by the New Mexico landscape. Our Featured Artist this month is Cheryl Samuel and her stunning and evocative piece made in Garry oak.
We also have your favourite community pages including leader, community news and hot stuff.
All this and more in issue 251.
