Road Trip

On what must have been the only dry day in July the F&C and WPP Ed’s, Bailey and Jones, took to the highway for a four hundred mile round trip to attend Peter Sefton’s Open Day. The Malverns were the perfect backdrop to a day spent talking tools and all things furniture related. With demonstrations from Peter himself, Matthew Platt from Workshop Heaven, Richard Maguire and Anthony Bailey there was plenty to see and get you inspired. Students from Peter’s long and short courses were displaying work that is a real credit to the level of tuition on offer at the school. Hard to believe some of them had not set foot in a workshop prior to attending a course. What started out as a grey morning soon developed into perfect bar-b-q weather with a great number of visitors staying for the duration. Peter’s wife Sarah along with an attentive army of helpers ensured all were made to feel at home and parted with just one thought on their mind; same time next year. As soon as we have dates, you’ll be the first to hear about it.
