Pulling a craker

It’s certainly been a hectic week so far. Work and social life have both been lived to the full but not to excess you understand. Following on from the main works Christmas do last week there was an editors Christmas dinner last night. As a newcomer to this tradition I was struggling hard to imagine a more diverse list of guests. Sat around the table were representatives from the world of jewellery, black & white photography, carving, dolls houses (I’m not kidding) woodturning, knitting and a couple of other woody types. There was one chap who couldn’t make it from the world of Morris dancing I think but I can’t be sure. And no sooner had the room stopped spinning it was time for the woodworking department’s Christmas lunch. I know, it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it. Even wine racks require research.
