Spalted beech bowl / platter

Hi all sorry not been on here for a while. This is the first thing I have turned since October last Yr so quite a while for me. Life got in the way. This piece came from a tree that was felled very close to my house .I slabbed up the log and left some to air dry. It measures 13 inch across and 2 inches thick  Right really pleased with the colour and shape. C and c welcome dunk

Beauty - the timber reminds me of shallow water rushing in over a dappled river bed. Nice

A very nice platter. The wood is gorgeous and your design is spot on. The lines add interest and definition without distracting from the shape and figuring. Lovely!
