Bryn was a member of our woodturning club in Mid Wales, a kind, gentle man who passed away several months ago. I took on the task of clearing his workshops and wood stores and have made this item out of a piece of Bryn's timber, as a tribute to him.
The timber was a 500x200x200mm lump of spalted beech, very soft and punky in places ( I just added a piece for the stopper).....I feel that Bryn would have liked this!

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter

That's a really thoughtful way of remembering a dear friend.
I like the understated lines - leaving the timber to shine through
