First piece completed in 2020. Felt good to be able to start again in the shed after the festive break.
Hollow form from spalted walnut. Quite punky in places but managed to stabilise. Decided to add a lid and final. I think it could be displayed with or without top.

Good flow to the form curves, well done on the perseverance needed to rescue the wood blank.
Another errant piece of Walnut that failed to escape a turners vision.

Nice piece well finished for a soft bit of wood I like the bottom finial best .

It is the same finial Ian just photographed at a right angle to the first image.

Real nice piece Derek, has a great flow, I lean towards the bottom finial as well

Thank you Pete. I will have to try a straight finial like that sometime. As I said above it is the same one from a different angle
