Hi

I'm new to the forum and have been carving for four years. What I am really looking for are some good carving books that show me detailed pictures/drawings of carving projects that I can follow in my workshop - can anyone recommend a few titles to me or a publisher/website that I should check out? The more complex the better - I like a challenge.

Thanks

Ben

Depends on what you are trying to carve...   For example, do you want to carve caricatures (funny people and animals), realistic animals, realistic people, stylized animals and people, architectural carvings (corbels, columns, church icons), relief carvings ("3D" pictures), Chip carving, etc.?

There are a lot of woodcarving books here:  https://www.thegmcgroup.com/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=579  The GMC Group is the publisher that owns the Woodworkers Institute (this forum...).
