Drill Centre

James Hatter works wonders for your pillar drill setup

1.The finished drill centre

To achieve best use of a relatively small space, I decided to mount all my machines onto mobile units. These not only effectively secure the machine, but they also provided additional storage appropriate for that machine. The first unit to be described is for a pillar drill.

The drawer unit measures 424mm wide, 644mm deep and 645mm high. The front drawers are 450mm long, so to utilise the space behind the drawers, the rear panel of the unit is brought forward. This gives added support for the pillar drill, and the space behind is utilised by including small drawers for further storage.
