The Great British Craft Festival - News
Monday 30 July 2012
Britain's leading papercraft manufacturer Hunkydory Crafts is proud to announce the launch of the first ever Great British Craft Festival, taking place this summer.
The three-day festival, staged at Donington Park in Derbyshire from 17-19 August 2012, will include creative workshops, expert demonstrations, makes & takes, hourly prize draws, opportunities to meet your favourite crafting celebrities and craft shopping galore.
With over 100 exhibitors offering the largest range of crafting goodies, and demonstrations across a wide range of techniques, the event will offer thousands of crafters from across the UK the opportunity to gain tips on all their favourite crafting pastimes. Crafters can enjoy some well-deserved “me-time', stock up on their crafting tools and enjoy a chat with the big names in British crafting.
Anne-Marie Catterall from Hunkydory Crafts said: "The festival will celebrate our wonderful, friendly and creative crafting community. We have so many fun activities lined up for them, with the free makes & takes reading as a real who's-who of craft - it will be the unmissable craft event of the year!”
The event is being held in conjunction with the UK's only dedicated craft channel, Create & Craft TV. Tony Sheridan from Create & Craft said: "The festival will be a true celebration of all things craft, from papercrafts and scrapbooking, beading and jewellery making, to knitting and needlecraft, quilting and rubber stamping, as well as rare types of cottage-industry crafting that you may not have come across before."
