03 August 2012

Miriam and I have been very busy. The entries for International Woodcarver of the Year are coming in nicely.

I know that by making it web-based entries only this year that some of you have found it difficult, but if you are having any problems whatsoever entering, please contact Miriam or myself and we will do everything we can to assist you.

If you have not entered yet and wish to do so or wish to find out more about it, the website details are www.iwcoty.com.

The closing date for entries is September 3rd 2012 so don’t miss out.

I know the weather has been all over the place recently, but one evening I was fortunate enough to see a wonderful sunset… I haven’t seen many lately and it reminded me of how wonderful and dramatic they can be. Let me see pictures of wonderful sights you have seen.

I must admit to having not watched any of the Olympic events so far and this weekend will see me out and about so I am hoping to see some more lovely sights – weather permitting of course.

I know it is a little way off yet, but there are three events in September where I will be at. The first being Yandles show in Martock, Somerset, 7-8th.

The 15-16th will see me at Turners Retreat in Harworth, Nottinghamshire

Lastly, but not least on 22-23rd I will be the European Woodworking show, in Cressing Temple Barns, Essex

All this means we have to get ahead in August, as well as fit in holidays and other such things. As I say, it is all go, but as I have said before, I love it.

Have fun.
