Bank holiday carving

I want to thank you all for your kind words and comments regarding the latest issue of Woodcarving magazine. It was a tough issue to put together and weaving together all your thoughts and requests is no easy matter. More changes are coming, but that is with the article type and mix, not the look. Keep your ideas coming and I will do my utmost to weave them into the magazine.
I am out of the office now for a few days. I have been travelling a lot seeing manufacturers, authors, clubs and readers and it has been somewhat hectic. All of it has been very productive and insightful. Everyone is busy doing this and that and there are some wonderful things being produced by everyone. I am like a kid in a candy store.
I am looking forward to the extended weekend break – don’t forget it is a bank holiday Monday – and spending it with the family. The bluebells are out and, weather permitting, I will go to one of my favourite sites to see them on Saturday. The rest of the weekend is unplanned, but I know I have to do some bits and pieces in the kitchen. I will try and do some carving instead.
Now I must get off to finish off the article I am writing on power carving. How many of you power carve and if you do, for what purposes?
Have fun,
Mark
