My wife and I just bought a large kitchen table that we would like to seal and wanted to get some advice on the right product to use. It is constructed from heavy, solid reclaimed pine timbers from 100-year old homes. It has a very light stain on it, but no sealant at all. We do not want it to change color or retain any gloss after being sealed. Suggestions? Thanks!! Phil

Hi!
I have just used Osmo topoil on a kitchen worktop and I am very impressed so far how tough and stain resistant it is. I used four coats applied at 10 hour intervals. (It is not a quick process!) The finish is matt. Osmo sell a "liquid wax cleaner" that they say can be buffed. |

I would reccomend the Osmo products. I have used them on several bits and bobs and have achieved good results. Regards Ted
