Hi everyone,
Took a trip to Ronaynes in Thurles yesterday and look what I brought home!!!

Ronaynes is actually the cheapest place I have found so far and their staff are really helpful. In fact, the employee I was speaking to cut open the box of the Record BS400 to show me. (I was considering buying that)

I didnt buy the optional legstand, but the standard one is very sturdy.
I had an electrical friend put in a new, longer wire as the wire that comes with it is very short. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Here it is altogether.

I was cutting 8'' thick Sycamore and it cut it no problem whatsoever, so I have a feeling I won't have to buy another bandsaw for a very long time!! All the components are very very heavy. This thing is a beast!!

conor
nice piece of kit, but beware for the fact that you have replaced the power lead, you could find that you have rendered your five year warranty "invalid". So if anything ever goes wrong with it and it has to be returned ensure that the original lead is refitted before it goes back

Good machine Conor. Make sure you get some decent blades for it-you'll really see the difference!
